One of the best ways to really know a person is to learn what they are reading and what they’ve read. It’s always fascinating to find out which books resonate and help people become the person they are today. This is the idea behind our long-running By the Book series. Join us this fall to hear three non-profit leaders who are changing Cincinnati talk about the books that informed them.
Under her leadership the YWCA has made a recommitment to the racial justice part of the mission along with the YWCA USA.Prior to joining the YWCA in August of 2015, Barbara came to the YWCA with more than 30 years of experience leading nonprofit organizations. She most recently served as the Chief Mission Officer for the Arthritis Foundation serving a five state region. Prior to that, she held leadership positions with the Butler and Hamilton County Mental Health Boards, Central Clinic and Cincinnati Behavioral Health.
A resident of Cincinnati neighborhood Columbia Tusculum, Barbara has developed and led numerous programs to serve the needs of children, women and families with economic, physical and mental health challenges. She has a deep commitment to inclusion and has demonstrated that by chairing and participating on the Inclusive Leadership Committee for the Regional Chamber’s Leadership Cincinnati program for seven years.
